🧾 Count Log

Who counted each dirty bag, the laundry it was assigned to, and who sent it.

The Count Log (administrators only) is an audit trail of every dirty bag that has been counted on the Dirty Queue β€” newest first. It answers "who counted this, and where did it go?".

What it shows

  • The date and the property the bag is for.
  • Who counted it (name and role) and who sent it to the laundry.
  • The laundry it was assigned to β€” shown in that laundry’s own colour β€” and how many pieces it holds.
  • Whether it has been sent yet, or is still counted and waiting.

Click any bag to see everything about it: the property and booking it came from (guest, reservation, collection window), who counted it and exactly when, the assigned laundry, and every linen line broken out β€” Dirty β†’ Damaged / Missing / Still-clean β†’ the net that goes to the laundry. Equipment (a cot, an extra bed) shows a "β€”" in the laundry column, because it is never washed; that is also why a bag’s Dirty count can be higher than the pieces that actually go out.

You can scope the log to one property group with the tabs at the top. It is completely read-only β€” nothing about the counts, stock or laundry dispatch is changed by looking here.

Note Hard-wash "re-wash" bags. A "Re-wash (still dirty)" bag is created automatically by the system when a clean return comes back with still-dirty pieces (and a "Not sent β€” hard-wash remainder" bag the same way when a hard-wash send is only partly sent). Nobody counts these on the Dirty Queue, so **"Counted by" shows the person who *triggered* them** β€” the one who approved the clean return, or made the hard-wash send β€” rather than a blank. (Re-wash bags created before this was added still show a "β€”".)
Tip Tracking begins from the version that introduced this page, so bags counted before it show a "β€”" for who handled them. From now on every count and send records the person.
