๐Ÿ“’ Transaction Log

Who moved what stock, and when โ€” with one-click undo. Admin only.

The Transaction Log is the accountability trail for your linen. Every time stock moves โ€” a clean return received onto the shelf, a bag packed out, dirty linen sent to a laundry, a manual adjustment, a loss โ€” it is written here with what changed, where, who did it and when. It is visible to administrators only.

Use the Show last buttons at the top to choose the window โ€” 1, 7, 14 or 30 days. It opens on the last 30 days (so a movement stays one click away to review or undo for a month), newest movement first.

  • When โ€” the date and time the movement was recorded (shown in your timezone).
  • What happened โ€” a plain-English description and the stock effect (for example *On Shelf +132*, *At Laundries โˆ’18*), plus any note.
  • Item and Where โ€” which linen item, and the laundry involved (if any).
  • Who โ€” the person whose action created the movement. Movements made before this feature was switched on show not recorded โ€” attribution starts from now.

Undoing a transaction

Each live row has an โ†ฉ Undo button. Undo reverses the stock effect of that movement โ€” for example, undoing a wrongly-received clean return takes those pieces back off the shelf. The original row is never deleted: it stays in the log, struck through and marked *Reversed by โ€ฆ*, so the history is intact.

Watch out Undo is refused if reversing the movement would push a stock bucket (On Shelf, At Laundries or In Vault) below zero โ€” for instance if those pieces have since been packed out again. In that case reverse the later movements first, or correct the count with a manual adjustment. Undo changes stock only; it does not re-open the originating queue or laundry-return record.
Tip This is the page to check when stock looks wrong, or something was done that no one remembers โ€” it tells you exactly who did what, and lets you put it back.
