📒 Transaction Log

Who moved what stock, and when — with one-click undo. Admin only.

The Transaction Log is the accountability trail for your linen. Every time stock moves — a clean return received onto the shelf, a bag packed out, dirty linen sent to a laundry, a manual adjustment, a loss — it is written here with what changed, where, who did it and when. It is visible to administrators only.

Use the Show last buttons at the top to choose the window — 1, 7, 14 or 30 days, or Everything for the whole history (every movement since day one, newest first). It opens on the last 30 days (so a movement stays one click away to review or undo for a month); switch to Everything to reach older movements the 30-day window no longer shows.

When — the date and time the movement was recorded (shown in Malta time).
What happened — a plain-English description and the stock effect (for example *On Shelf +132*, *At Laundries −18*), plus any note.
Item and Where — which linen item, and the laundry involved (if any).
Who — the person whose action created the movement. Movements made before this feature was switched on show not recorded — attribution starts from now.

Undoing a transaction

Each live row has an ↩ Undo button. Undo reverses the stock effect of that movement — for example, undoing a wrongly-received clean return takes those pieces back off the shelf. The original row is never deleted: it stays in the log, struck through and marked *Reversed by …*, so the history is intact.

Watch out Undo is refused if reversing the movement would push a stock bucket (On Shelf, At Laundries or In Vault) below zero — for instance if those pieces have since been packed out again. In that case reverse the later movements first, or correct the count with a manual adjustment. Undo changes stock only; it does not re-open the originating queue or laundry-return record.

Note Workflow reversals are logged here too — nothing is ever erased. When a clean return is cancelled, a dirty send is recalled, or a received return is reopened, the original stock movements are not deleted: they stay in the log, struck through and marked *Reversed by …* with who reversed them and when. So even an action that puts pieces back exactly as they were leaves a complete, attributed trail — you can always see it happened and who did it.
