🧩 Property groups
Split your apartments into groups (e.g. by area or owner) so each group’s linen stock is tracked separately.
The Property groups page (under Settings, admin-only) lets you divide your apartments into named groups — for example by area, owner or management contract. Each group then keeps its own linen stock across every bucket (On Shelf, In Vault, At Laundries, Coming back), and the Linen Vault, the queues, the Laundry Bill and the statistics all gain a per-group tab so you can manage and bill each group on its own.
How it works
- Assign each apartment to exactly one group. Anything you leave unassigned stays in the shared Default pool.
- Every stock movement is stamped with the group it belonged to at the time — so re-assigning a property later never rewrites past history.
- A group can pack from its own stock plus the shared Default pool, but never from another group’s stock — so one group can’t quietly drain another.
- The invariant the system guarantees (and the nightly System health check verifies): the groups always add up to the Total — no piece is ever lost or double-counted when you split by group.
Note Deleting a group never strands its stock: everything it held is moved back into the Default pool, quantities untouched. The Dashboard flags any apartments not yet assigned to a group so you can tidy them up.
Tip To move stock deliberately from one group to another, use Record a movement → Transfer to another group on the Linen Vault — a balanced move that leaves the Total unchanged.
